That is worthy of a Punkfreud effort! Can we put a Joey Dirte, Kitty St. Jean or Trish Riley face on that Moon-puppy?
Thank you Naran.....that's a good 'un!
Dusting off proposals for universal health care
States experiment while the public waffles on what it's willing to pay for

Still, many of the same obstacles to revamping the health-care system persist, such as a patchwork of state and federal laws, widespread disagreement over whether government or the private insurance industry is apt to do a better job and whether financial incentives can be reorganized so patients can get the care they need without losing their life savings if they suffer a misfortune.
The real driver of the issue is what we as Americans spend on healthcare -- and come to think of it, we spend more than other countries on just about everything!
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!! WHAT A GREAT COUNTRY, OR WHAT!!!!
We spend more on food, cars, housing, entertainment, booze, cigars, high-tech gadgets and lots of out stuff -- including health care. Are we going to start rationing that stuff too?
And that's the issue: RATIONING! Every government-run health care system on the planet limits care. If you need an MRI to diagnose cancer, you have to wait until the regional machine on a truck comes to town -- and wait your turn. It could be weeks or months....not this afternoon, like Americans demand.
Americans spend over $5000 per capita on health care, while Canadians spend just oveR $2000. As a result they don't have the infrastructure to care for their people. Quebec citizens in certain areas of the province with cancer are sent to Lewiston for care. Now I hold a great deal of affection for the CMG....I was born there. But I were dying of cancer -- or someone I loved -- it wouldn't be tops on the list as an epicenter for my family's cancer treatment. It is, however, far superior than many Canadians have as many of them have NOTHING :!:
We are also one of the only major nations in the world with a single Constitution that defines our legal and governmental system....does that mean we are wrong about our constitution?
That's right....Americans would never stand for it!
[quote="Editor"]How about a pilot program? We'll set up a government run health care system for the Pat LaMarche's and Jonathan Carter's of Maine to use exclusively for 10 years and see how it goes.
Don't be silly Scott, the universal health care is not for the elite, it is for the little underlings like you and I to suffer through while the La Marches and Carters continue their quest for a one world order
Now, Beth, I think the Editor is on to something here.....
.....providing Pat and Jonathan agree to move to Canada....or Cuba if they prefer!
Alrighty then...I will contribute to a one way ticket for Cuba for Johnny or Patty, I here the weather is lovely there.
Where do I go to succeed from Maine? If any good Doctors were left, they just put their resumes in for greener pastures somewhere in a red state.
Gotta go earn more money, so I can pay my taxes
Cover - thanks, but the real credit goes to Domino, who posted it some time ago. I couldn't believe it's a real cat under those ears, but it is. One of the hairless varieties.
