Snow Scoop

Don Fogg's Father-in-law, Eugene S. Cole, was a carpenter/building contractor from Saco. He started building the snow scoops to keep as many of his crew as possible busy in winter, rather than lay them off when bad weather set in. That was back when we used to have winters here. Someone else did make the wooden scoops for a while, after Don, but I haven't seen any new ones in a long time. They were especially great for clearing a flat roof, or skating rink of snow.
