Bush no money magnet
By Alexander Bolton
June 13, 2007

Sen. Olympia Snowe said she thinks Sens. Mike DeWine (Ohio) and Lincoln Chafee (R.I.) lost reelection because of Bush's unpopularity.

"It's definitely because of the president and his policies, more from the standpoint of immovability and not being willing to adjust policies in response to real-time circumstances," she said.

Snowe said that during yesterday's meeting, her thought was that Republicans would still be the majority if not for Bush's failures.

Speaking only for Ken and me, I stopped voting for Olympia before I stopped voting for GW.

If she thinks any one elected Republican on any one issue is the problem with election results of late, she really does have another think coming! And furthermore, she is in denial.

Moderates Defeated In Va. Primary
GOP Incumbents Lose Senate Seats

By Amy Gardner
Washington Post Staff Writer

Conservative Republican challengers prevailed against moderate incumbents in key legislative primary elections across Virginia yesterday, setting the stage for a bruising fall election in which Democrats will try to take over the GOP-controlled state Senate by capturing the political middle.

Two key moderate Republicans lost their seats in the Virginia Senate. Challengers accused the incumbents of betraying the Republican Party by siding with Democrats to raise taxes.

It must be Alzheimers.. I distinctly remember that Olympia co-chaired, with Susan, W's 2004 Maine campaign. But that can't be right.

It helps a lot when you're willing to adjust policies in response to real-time circumstances.

And if Snowe-(job) supported the Republican candidates here in Maine we would have a Republican governor. But when her Rino choice Mills lost the Primary she distanced herself from the winner. Guess he wasn't leaning left enough for her.

And how is that?

Some of us weren't too impressed with your career school teacher candidate to begin with -- and when Susan Collins started telling about how wonderful he was, we KNEW he was no damned good. By keeping her mouth shut, Snowe probably saved your guy a couple thousand votes.

It is quite sad that Olympia and Susan can't do lunch with Linc any more.

Bush's blind allegiance to the God of War and ignorant hubris was mostly responsible for the Republican loss in 2006.

Unfortunately Olympia and Susan have little to criticize him about because they were there for the ride and other then feigned concern will continue his social and war spending.

What is of particular interest is the god of war still rules the roost over both parties, it is only in a false perception that they differ.

Whomever wins in 2008, if he, she is r or d, will continue doomed foreign policy in the middle east and excessive social spending.

That's why intelligent people want Ron Paul.

Why did I know that would be a post campaigning for Ron Paul after reading only the first sentence?

What do you mean by that? I can see people disagreeing with his views, but are you inferring that there is something wrong with his profession, the duration of his engagement in it, or its place in a political contest?

Chandler's bio suited me just fine.

Why thank you _ _, I always appreciate when people recognize the folly of foreign intervention and also associate that truth with Ron Paul. _ _ you should look at the AMG Ron Paul information post and get more information about Ron Paul, he is a good and honest man _ _ and I know _ _ , that you will be impressed with his knowledge of the constitution and how America has strayed so far from it.

There are many people, _ _ , who are uplifted by his message, a new champion of freedom _ _, so different from the typical politician, don't you agree? _ _ ?

Sounds like someone is still stinging over the loss of he's choice of a candidate. If I wanted to vote for a Democrat for Gov., I would have voted for Baldacci and not Mills.
