Spiritual faith and responsible environmental stewardship go

This is clearly a misunderstanding. Some tree huggers in a drug induced stupor stumbled into a tent revival. The talk about J.C. they mistook as referring to Jonathan Carter. They informed the congregation that they most assuredly knew for sure that JC drives "a fuel efficient hybred automobile, and the rest is history.[ 11-14-2002: Message edited by: Cantdog ]

Blessed are the hybridsBy JEN FISH, Portland Press Herald WriterEnvironmentalists have known for years that driving fuel-efficient, hybrid cars is good for the planet. But can what you drive bring you closer to God?

…Anne Burt said while it may seem unusual, spiritual faith and responsible environmental stewardship go hand and hand, Burt, who is also director of the Maine Council of Churches' Environmental Justice Program, said the message of using fuel-efficient transportation is even more important now because of the escalating tensions in the Middle East.
…leaders of every faith are joining the council's Interfaith Climate Change Initiative…
That campaign is part of a national effort of the National Council of Churches in Christ of the United States and the Coalition for the Environment and Jewish Life. Burt said she also has heard of an Evangelical church campaign in the works that will be called: "What Would Jesus Drive?"

Are these the same Church groups that won't support a ban on late term abortion "because it interferes with Doctor-patient relationships?"Why don't they ask "what would Jesus do when a mother wants to destroy a viable infant by delivering it and sucking its brains out?"Will they be starting a "helpless infant justice program" soon? And "what would Jesus do when someone decides it's more fun to have someone else pay your way than have to work for a living?"Will they be starting a "taxpayer justice" program soon?[ 11-14-2002: Message edited by: Melvin Udall ]
