Protect MarriageMaine Releases Finance Report
Augusta, Maine –Today, Protect Marriage Maine released its finance report outlining that the committee has raised $30,871 for the period May 30, 2012 through July 17, 2012.
“We are only in the early stages of building our campaign and are confident that we will receive the support of everyday folks who can go to protectmarriagemaine.com to donate,” said Carroll Conley of Protect Marriage Maine. “We will win if we raise enough resources to communicate our message. We are trusting the grassroots to come through for us.”
Backers of the initiative to redefine marriage reported raising more than $565,000 from outside of Maine, including substantial sums from billionaire Wall Street investors.
“With almost 800 contributors from outside of Maine, we now know for certain that the effort to redefine marriage in Maine is not driven by community conversations or typical Maine citizens,” added Conley. “We are concerned about the attempt by our opponents to buy the institution of marriage. Fortunately, we don’t have to compete with them to be successful.”
Gay marriage activists in recent years have always outspent supporters of traditional marriage, including in the campaigns in Maine in 2009 and most recently in North Carolina. Despite being outspent by groups working to redefine marriage, traditional marriage has never lost at the ballot box.
“We are confident that the people of Maine will come together to raise the resources necessary to win and not let marriage be redefined by activists and out of state special interest groups,” said Conley. “We don’t have to match our opponents spending; we only need to raise enough to communicate with voters and mobilize people who believe marriage should be protected as the union between one man and one woman.”

Nothing is decided until the liberal get their way.
Meanwhile, if you're an Amazon.com customer, consider this.
thanks Mike.
I used to make an occasional purchase on the Amazon website, but I quit doing business with them a long time ago.
Gosh, I bet its been 10 or 15 minutes since I decided to remove them permanently from my bookmark folder.
What a coincidence!
