WMTW reported in it noonday broadcast that Ted O'Meara of South Portland will chairing Olympia Snowe's Reelection campaign.Steven Scharf

Snowe, R-Maine, has announced the team that will lead her re-election campaign for 2006.Leading the campaign will be Ted O'Meara of South Portland, managing director of Pierce Atwood Consulting. O'Meara was Snowe's chief staff person in Maine during her first term in the U.S. House, and has been involved in many local and statewide races.Snowe for Senate honorary co-chairs are Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, former Maine Gov. John McKernan, Peter Cianchette of South Portland, Karen Raye of Perry and Maine GOP state chair, Randy Bumps of Minot. Snowe for Senate 1st District co-chairs are Meredith Strang Burgess of Cumberland and Phil Harriman of Yarmouth. Snowe for Senate 2nd District co-chairs are Cheryl Russell of Chester and state Sen. Point of clarification: The last I knew, Ted O'Meara had unenrolled as a Republican. Does anyone know if he has registered again as a Republican?skf
