There has to be a culprit

Because we have adopted an economic system where government determines who gets how much of what through the tax code, we have people who get more than others and some do not get enough on which to survive. Why is that? It is because there is only so much to go around and we have produced so many people that must fed at the trough someone must be responsible for why some do not get enough. The Progressives, who now run the government cannot accept the blame because they will be thrown from power so they must blame others in the government who are not progressive enough for the shortfall.
The damage has already been done. The government controls the purse strings and to assuage the vocal minority from whom the bulk of the distribution is generated other than the printing press they now finance the government’s distribution pool.
The dollar, which is the measure of our economy continues to reduce in value for each new dollar issued because it is never consumed but accumulates. When it reduces in value to a point that the distribution to those on the lower end of the economic scale cannot afford the necessities of life we will have reached a point where there will either be mass migration or clashes between those who are not getting enough and those getting more. This scenario is playing out in Africa and the Middle East and most of South and Latin America. It is already inside our tent but on a much smaller scale because of government welfare.
Ask yourself where is the money coming from to pay Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, government pensions and all government subsidized programs. It certainly isn’t coming from money the recipients set aside to cover these expenditures. It is an unsustainable system and we are quickly approaching the point where the number of consumers greatly outnumber the producers. In other words, the problems are exacerbated by the increasing number of people who have them because nature’s reproducible and non-reproducible assets are limited.

Proof once again that even

Proof once again that even partial socialism is a disaster.

Wouldn't you like to have a budget where you could just spend whatever you wanted on anything that looked important... and the money would just appear to pay for it all?

Socialism is a fairy tale for adults...

Socialism and Communism do

Socialism and Communism do not work as was evident in the Plymouth Colony. If you read its history you will discover that those who did the work got the same portion as those who could but didn't. It was only when those who did were rewarded with a bigger share, did the colony thrive and grow. Machines have replaced humans to such an extent that there are much fewer needed to produce the work actually needed for survival. The problem is we kept producing more and more humans that cannot work, because there is none. Those unemployed mouths eat and in order to eat you must obtain gainful work and in the economic system we and others have employed over the centuries gainful work is severely limited necessitating charity. It is a system that, as in the past and present in certain countries is unsustainable and leads first to theft, then migration, then civil war.
