Topless March Planned for Congress Street

We, of course, expect photo's...though doing this in frozen wet April is crazy...

I suspect this April will be a bit milder than previous Aprils considering the current weather.

Yuk think about the scenery in your local wal mart naked on parade.........where is the pepto???

But Mike only a discerning observer will be able to tell where the bosom ends and the belly begins.... on most.

I will go out on a limb and make the prediction of at least 2 arrests in on of the following categories:

A) Trench Coat pervert in the crowd exposes full nudity.
B) Random full nude runner has to steal the show.
C) Probation Officers arrests Sex Offenders in the crowd for having not registers in the past year.
D) Public Intoxication.

Otherwise it will be a peaceful day for this parade.

E) Reviewing stand with judges holding up numbers. Probably 1 through 5 will suffice.

Why are people afraid of topless women? Seriously.

The march itself is pointless. Female toplessness is legal in Maine, barring local ordinances to the contrary. Anyone remember the topless lawn mowing lady in Newport from about 15 years ago?

Now, if they wanted to make a point, they should plan a topless march in DC for this weekend, to protest the boobs in Congress.

The couple wanted their photo taken with their mouths taped because they felt their rights were being violated. The housing authority is not backing down and is now planning new anti-nudity rules. Many gawkers will attend... fantasizing that they will see Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Biel and Jennifer Connelly...

But in reality - they'll see Roseanne Barr, Janet Reno, Aretha Franklin and Aunt Bea!!

Oh, I don't know but this parade might have a few points of interest.

Women march topless in Portland without incident
The marchers want to call attention to the double standard in society's attitudes toward male and female nudity.

PORTLAND – About two dozen women marched . . . to erase what they see as a double standard on male and female nudity.

The women, preceded and followed by several hundred boisterous and mostly male onlookers, many of them carrying cameras, . . .

Ty McDowell, who organized the march, said she was "enraged" by the turnout of men attracted to the demonstration. The purpose, she said, was for society to have the same reaction to a woman walking around topless as it does to men without shirts on.

There will be no pictures. The only decent lookers kept their shirts on, male and female.

Ed noted that there were about 1,000 people as they went through Monument Square. I would say that would be about the total of onlookers through the whole event. Lots of people along the streets as they passed by.

I have to say it did not do much for the business climate of Portland. Most of the boisterous and mostly male onlookers were of the type that let their pants hang low and don’t have nay money that they earned.

Who could have seen that coming? You could have knocked me over with a feather! Men were attracted to a demonstration of topless women? Anyone who could have predicted that reaction could probably win big at the track. A true man bites dog story! What do you think, Ty? I've got 10 bucks that says the sun will rise in the east tomorrow.

The demonstration failed to achieve its purpose. The turnout proves that society does NOT have the same reaction to a woman walking around topless as it does to men without shirts on.

All of this reminds me of a Mark Steyn comment recently. He was referring to how the costs of Obamacare will be going out of control. "It is being sold as a pert 34 B and will soon become a pendulous, 46 FFF."

Unfortunately I found myself in P-town today meeting up with some friends at Flatbread’s Restaurant (Commercial Street)…upon exiting I saw one of the participants of said “Parade” and I nearly lost my lunch. She was quite chubby and her breasts were rather flat and hung down past the second fold on her tummy… or there about. Gag! It was rather cool by the water…well cooler than it was inland. Commercial Street was packed with people walking around enjoying the day…I felt sorry for the families who had young children down there. I’m fairly certain that was the last thing they needed to see. I know I could have lived without it.

I've seen plenty of males going topless who really, really should take a good look in the mirror before doing so. WITHOUT turning sideways and sucking in the tummies, guys....

Ty may be happy to know that in my youth I visited many places with topless women and they were most appreciated! Gosh, most places were so festive that there was loud music and lots of "dancing" even! The men were so supportive of their freedom of expression they actually passed the ladies money the whole time and bought them drinks. Many times this was right in Portland too! WOW, Ty may just be onto something. There seems to be a great deal of respect for such diversity breaking out all over...

As far as her "outrage" is concerned, I saw a similar "oddity" once. Someone put out a bunch of press releases saying there would be a free BBQ and the owner was so angry when all kinds of fat guys with bibs and beer showed up, ready to eat. It was completely unexpected and the organizer was "outraged" too. He must have thought several vegetarians were gonna show up to have a chanting, dancing celebration of that evenings sunset. AMAZING how such unexpected things happen out of the blue!
