Thorsen’s interview was interrupted, and Ron Paul later brought Thorsen onto the stage to address the crowd--a clear violation of military policy.

So you are not a big believer

So you are not a big believer in personal responsibility Apollo? It is much easier to blame someone else, eh.

If you get stopped for speeding, is it the cops fault?

Ron Paul should have known

Ron Paul should have known better than to drag a soldier in uniform up on stage.

Apollo, the only one to blame

Apollo, the only one to blame is the soldier. He is an adult. He knew the rules. He chose to break the rules. A big problem with society today is the lack of personal responsibility.

There is absolutely no way you can blame this on RP, or for that matter, anyone but the soldier.

Wheres the part in the

Wheres the part in the article that describes Ron Paul going to the soldiers home and forcing him to put on his uniform? And the part where he duck-marched the soldier to the rally.

Bad reporting I guess.

C'mon guys, just because it's

C'mon guys, just because it's Apollo saying it, doesn't take away from the fact that a person who wants to be commander in chief really shouldn't have even asked (not forced) someone in uniform to violate the DoD Directives and Instructions. Yes, the soldier has the responsibility to know better, but so should a presidential candidate and his support staff.

Actually, he should not have

Actually, he should not have attended in uniform.

DoD Directive 1344.10, “Political Activities by Members of the Armed
Forces on Active Duty,”

4.1.1. A member of the Armed Forces on active duty may:

4.1.1.9. Attend partisan and nonpartisan political fundraising activities, meetings, rallies, debates, conventions, or activities as a spectator when not in uniform and when no inference or appearance of official sponsorship, approval, or endorsement can reasonably be drawn.

Type 1344.10 in the search box.

edited to add:

4.1.4. Subject to any other restrictions in law, a member of the Armed Forces not on active duty may take the actions or participate in the activities permitted in subparagraph 4.1.1., and may take the actions and participate in the activities prohibited in subparagraph 4.1.2, provided the member is not in uniform and does not otherwise act in a manner that could reasonably give rise to the inference or appearance of official sponsorship, approval, or endorsement.

I'm no Ron Paul fan, but this one is squarely the fault of the soldier. I'll defend Ron Paul completely on this one.
