"A major figure in a possible congressional security breach has fled to Pakistan amid an ongoing investigation into potential tampering. Potential victims are several Democratic members of the House Committee on Homeland Security, the Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, all of whom employed Hina Alvi, her husband Imran Awan, his brothers Abid and Jamal, along with a fifth man identified as Rao Abbas.

All five had their IT clearances revoked this spring and were fired except for Imran Awan, who remained employed by Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., for some time after he lost his access. A major figure in a possible congressional security breach has fled to Pakistan amid an ongoing investigation into potential tampering. In March, Politico reported the five former workers were suspected of stealing equipment and committing serious, possibly illegal, violations on the House IT network"
