Nice work, Bigshooter. Must be fun.LMD, a lowly Win 94 in .30-30 will work if they're not too far out.
I just KNEW Bigshooter would have an answer like that! I wanna go hunting with both you AND Keenan now. ;)
At 60 mph today at 4:00 am in the dense fog I got a duck right at the center of the hood. Feathers everywhere ~ Clorox please :D
What the f**k were you thinking of driving 60 mph in dense fog? Should we now call you numbnuts?
Paul, you have committed a violation of the State of Maine Hunting laws. Wild animals and birds can only be hunted with firearms, bows, or falcons. If you happened to be driving a Ford Falcon, a good lawyer may get you out the mess though.

Shouldn't you be saying:"What? The duck?"
A decent bow and some rusty broadheads. If that fails, whatever artillery that happens to be available.

No. Paul has just shown himself to be a fool of the first class. I suppose cleaning up after hitting a kid in the fog at 60 could have also been cleaned up with a little clorox too.
A kid on 95 at 4 am the parents ought to be locked up.(((((AFLAK)))))
In June of 1954 I was working on a dairy farm. The farmer was mad because a big old woodchuck was eating his vegetable garden faster than he could grow it. I told the farmer I would shoot the woodchuck for him. "Why I've been trying to shoot that woodchuck for three years and he just keeps getting fatter at my expense. You can't shoot that woodchuck!"This took place on Monday. I told him I would shoot the woodchuck at 7:30 Thursday morning. He was quite offended that I would make such a claim. I told him further that if I did not shoot the chuck he would not have to pay me for that time. We had a deal.I went up into the loft and got a 16 foot square canvas tarp and put it about 75 feet from the woodchuck's hole. At 7:30 AM on Thursday I was under that tarp. Blap, went the .22 and Mr. Chuck was gone to the great vegetable garden in the sky. I carried the chuck up to the farmer and there was one neat hole, dead center in Mr. Chuck's right ear. I didn't want the chuck running back down the hole. The same tactic worked 16 years later in the Mekong Delta with a different Mr. Charles. Farm boys just know how to get things done.
I don't think I could kill a coyote....

Somebody driving 60 in dense fog ought to be locked up. Crazy and stupid.Sorry to sidetrack LMD. A plain ole .30-30 will do the job if they're close enough.
This thread makes me proud to be an AMG member. God help the Chinese If they were to attack during Coyote season!!!!!
Coyotes stalk woman, kill dog at Georgetown/Rowley State Forest

Georgetown - Coyotes attacked/killed a local dog walking with her owner in the Georgetown/Rowley State Forest last Wednesday morning.
Georgetown resident Lisa Burke liked to walk her four dogs in the forest where they could run along unleashed. On Wednesday, she approached the parking lot after her walk and, with the dogs with her, prepared to put their leashes back on before crossing the parking lot entrance. Two coyotes suddenly charged her at trail marker number 15.
