No no ,Mike G read Thistles' repost of Bigshooters' take on BP. It isn't a second amendment issue that has heen settled , Roger has pointed out, it is human rights.
Apollo on RP-endorsed candidate meme. Must have lone copy of that memo.
@Mike G: somewhat reassured we finally disagree on something. Beginning to think same poster/two handles. Two thoughts 4U: 1) Harvard attendance meaningless---Poliquin had to go to school somewhere and that was a lifetime ago; 2) has not, "been in politics a while." Private sector came out of nowhere; ran for governor; now Treasurer.
2nd Amendment read this: http://www.asmainegoes.com/content/bigshooter-stab-poliquin-and-2nd-amen...
Well you don't expect me to get all my facts right before making a post? That takes time.
I'll spend some time now looking into it
Bob, me and several other people actually collected signatures for all of the Senate Republican candidates, not just Poliquin.
A commendable article from Eric Russell at the BDN.
U.S. Senate finance reports leave more questions than answers

AUGUSTA, Maine — As the 13 candidates for U.S. Senate canvass the state ahead of the June 12 primary, campaign finances may not be on voters’ minds, but the topic certainly will be on candidates’ minds.
Campaign finance reports for the 1st quarter of 2012 were required to be filed with the Federal Election Commission by April 15 and those reports offer an early glimpse of the role money could play.
By "commendable," I mean this is a complicated subject with a lot of moving parts.
Bruce Poliquin donated to Handgun Control Incorporated. There is that
I worked my way through Harvard University studying economics under world-renowned professors. There is this.
A widowed father of one son, Poliquin grew up in Waterville, attending Phillips Academy in Andover, and then Harvard. After college he entered into the private financial sector. Poliquin burst onto Maine's political scene when he contributed $100,000 to back up his support of a Taxpayer Bill of Rights citizen initiative in 2009 that lost at the polls. A year later he entered the Republican gubernatorial primary and spent more than $700,000 of his own money on the failed effort. I erred on that.
I'll hold off in voting for him in the primary.
An argument can be made that Bruce lead with his check book and that is what turns some people off.
Robert Reed I intended no offense ,like I am sure Pressman intended none when he categorized all in Southern Maine as not knowing about L/A.
At this point I am wondering if the AG isn't looking like he could be the strongest at this point in general election.
Poliquin works hard and makes money, he can choose how to spend it. You will not find me participating in class warfare. Nothing could be more American than right to pursue one's ambitions/dreams and succeed at a better life.
When it comes to MY money, he has proven to be a true fiscal hawk and has earned my support. Intend to donate/volunteer all the way to June 12 Election.
How is that class warfare? I didnt say his money wasnt green. Bruce is an awesomeTreasurer who ought to wait and run for Governor. His talent and fantastic results are helping Mainers and I would love to see him finish the job he started.

That falsehood has been debunked more than once above. It is a bald faced lie. The fact that somebody is using somebody else's name in a lie is difficult for that person to overcome. Bruce Poloquin is an honorable man who supports our platform and the constitution.
I am totally undecided in this race. I have elimated 2 but could be persuaded by any of the other 4. I will most likely make up my mind after hearing them at the convention.
I may not even be around in November fpor the general as my job will be elimated in the next 2 to 3 months and I may move south in Sept.
Bob, me and several other people actually collected signatures for all of the Senate Republican candidates,
That is where you and I differ Apollo. I will have nothing to do with a candidate that does not share my core beliefs. I look at the person, not the letter behind their name. If Mike Michaud or Chellie Pingree became Republicans, would you collect signatures for them?

Roger quote above
Now that is damn funny Roger because "Bruce Poliquin donated to Handgun Control Incorporated" is a quote from you from 2010 from the revived Poliquin background check thread. In fact I copied and pasted your quote when I responded to alter ego.
Where is it debunked above roger? Because you talked to him? You lied to us in 2010 why should I believe you now? lol

Lest anyone be distracted by quibbling and sniveling, Bruce Poloquin donated to Handgun Control Incorporated. No amount of quibbling and sniveling can erase that fact.
LOL I did correct the spelling of his name
I was told that lie back in 2010. I believed it. The facts don't support it. The truth will always come out. When I learned the facts I corrected the info I had provided in error. My name is on the stuff I post. I don't spend a great deal of effort responding to anonymous and time consuming requests to perform research for said anonymous characters.
1st I heard of you correcting the misinformation, I missed it obviously, I saw no correction on the 2010 thread that I cited to Alter Ego. The HCI contribution didn't come up in any other threads when I did a search other than the one recent by bigshooter, they was no reason for me to believe that Pine Tree Politics lied in 2010 when it said Bruce gave HCI 500 dollars.
Where did you correct the misinformation about Bruce and the 500 dollars?
above is the Pine Tree Politics source they used for their article in 2010
here is a nothing link to same contribution
Here is another link to same contribution in 1989
AG looking better every day!
Apollo...as you collected for several - were you paid by an organization/employer to do so? If so, which candidates paid to collect signatures?
Bruce - thank you, and I apologize if I was too quick to jump the gun, I luv my city and have enjoyed raising a family here.
Robert it is most graciously accepted .
Yes, it is and I am just as guilty of it as well ,particularly in these times here about!
