York County Commissioners have declared a fiscal emergency, and have ordered nearly a million dollars in cuts to county operations.
There could be as many as 40 layoffs.
Cuts will not be made to the York County Jail, but could be made in the court system, the district attorney's office and to rural sheriff patrols.York County Financial Crisis
