| Help As Maine Goes Stay
Online by Scott K Fish, AMG Owner/Editor |
Since 1998 As Maine Goes (AMG) has been open/free to the public. AMG's first mission? To promote interactive conservative opinion in Maine in AMG's The Public Square
In nine years, mission intact, AMG is attracting Mainers from all political persuasions offering/debating ideas, asking questions, letting us know of local events, and networking with each other.
AMG also gives unique news coverage and a center-right look at news of the day impacting Maine.
You'll find AMG'ers from all over Maine - Calais to Norway, York to Caribou. Even AMG'ers from Florida, California, New Jersey, Michigan, Virginia, Maryland, Japan, London, and Iraq! With interests in, yes, politics. But also interests in hunting, philosophy, history, reading, gardening, sports, the outdoors, computers, music, on and on.An average 50,000 visits and 600,000 page views each month - and growing.
No doubt about it, AMG's strength is the quality of AMG posters and their willingness to share their expertise. The care-and-feeding of AMG, however, is up to me. As the web site expands, the cost of operations grows. Just to keep AMG on the web each year costs about $1,000.00. That's not including hours researching, editing and posting in order to bring you a quality AMG. (My wife told me to write all that!)
If you appreciate As Maine Goes and would like to help offset my costs - thank you. You can mail checks or money orders to: As Maine Goes, 511 Moosehead Trail, Dixmont, Maine 04932, Attention: Scott K Fish.Or you can contribute online with your MasterCard, Visa, Discover, or American Express - in a secure environment - by clicking the tin cup at the top of this page.
That's it! As always, I welcome your ideas, comments and questions. Feel free to email me at editor@asmainegoes.com .
